  servers and workstations with over 1000 users.  
  * Directed activities of system operators and systems administration
    personnel.
  * Provided direct user support for application and system software.
  * Developed system support methodologies that produced hardware and
    software problem resolution within 24 hours of receiving the problem
    report. Average resolution time was less than 1 hour.
  * Developed process that allowed configuration and delivery of over
    150 CAD workstations by 3 technicians in 25 days.

* Managed high-availability file server system supplying storage for all
  engineering usage resulting in file server uptime of 99.95%.
  * Dual SUN E4x00 - Veritas Cluster System, Veritas Volume Manager,
    Veritas NetBackup
  * Storage Engine Synchronix Storage arrays - 3.5 Terabytes 

* Managed system security for all CAD workstations and recommended
  policy for computer access based on State Department export control
  guidelines and regulations. 
  * Developed and implemented a suite of web-based programs for adding
    new employee user accounts, including management authorization to
    request accounts. Reduced time for getting a new employee on line
    from an average of 3 days to less than 1 hour.

* Provided custom programming to enhance functionality of purchased
  software. 
  * Wrote utilities and front-end/wrapper scripts to integrate software
    packages and provide better user interfaces.
  * Developed Web-based support tools both for administrative activity
    and user help request forms and informational pages. 
  * Wrote and maintained internal CAD support Web sites, both
    administrative and user help, writing CGI-BIN forms as well as
    informational web pages.

* Wrote scripts for pro-active system monitoring with e-mail and pager
  notification for urgent problems.
